The Girl From The Coffee Shop 1 Chapter 2

BENJAMIN, what’s up?”
“What are you doing here? Takang tanong ni Benjamin. Dumating si Jeffrey sa coffee shop ilang minute lamang pagkatapos niyang maubos ang iniinom na kape. Tatayo na sana siya para muling umakyat sa opisina nang mamataan ang pinsan.
“Ako yata ang dapat magtanong sa iyo n’yan. Office hours, bakit ka narito?” Natatawa itong naupo matapos maka-order. Tinanggal nito ang suot na tie at ibinulsa.


On Character Voice

Isa sa mga problema'ng nae-encounter ko sa pagbabasa ng nobela (mapa-Wattpad man o pocketbook) ay ang 'voice' ng mga characters. Tipong kilalang businessman si guy, galing sa mayamang pamilya pero kung magsalita, parang taga-kanto lang. O 'yung bidang babae na simple lang, mahinhin, hindi makabasag-pinggan pero kung makapagmura, daig pa si Digong haha. May mga nababasa rin ako na mas parang 'babae' pa magsalita ang bidang lalaki kaysa bidang babae. Sa parte'ng ito rin ako madalas mahirapan, 'yung pag-differentiate ng character voice. Kaya mahalaga 'yung sa umpisa pa lang, may bio na ang bawat characters at dapat, tugma sa personalidad nila ang boses na gagamitin natin sa pagsusulat. Paano?
